Great food and friendly staff Stopped for lunch on way back from a walk in thrunton woods and saw this lovely little gem of a place ! Good menu choice, we chose the steak and ale pie but all the meals that came out looked fantastic! We certainly weren’t disappointed with our choice the pie was beautiful, home made pastry lid and vegetables all done to perfection! Great friendly chatty staff made it a fantastic little lunch trip - we will be back! Thanks

Delicious homecooked food We popped in for dinner when staying locally. Very friendly service and good covid safe set up. My partner had a delicious steak and ale pie and I had a mussels starter, with chilli, courgette and a big corner of bread and butter. Good choice of local beers too. We hope to return soon! 👍

Lovely dry retreat After spending a wet afternoon in Kielder we were looking for something to eat on the way home. Everywhere seemed to stop serving at 2! We found this gem though and it allowed dogs. Toodles first time in a restaurant and he was good as gold! Food was excellent, portion sizes superb. Nothing an issue, even when my friend asked for lots of slight alterations to the menu. Would recommend to everyone and it allowed dogs. Toodles first time in a restaurant and he was good as gold! A most welcoming friendly hotel We stayed at this wonderful accommodation after being let down by a certain booking site. The room was extremely comfortable and well appointed. the bed was comfortable and the linen was pristine and we spent a most comfortable night. In the morning we were welcomed to breakfast by a really nice lady the breakfast was second to none and really set us up for the day ahead. I would really recommend this accommodation.

Superb Sunday Lunch Had a lovely Sunday lunch here last weekend to celebrating our friends 65th Birthday. There were 12 of us and we got a lovely table upstairs. We all had the carvery which was excellent value. You got a great range of meats from the local butchers and could have either regular, bin lid which was massive or a childs portion. very tastey with 2 Yorkshire puds and beautiful gravy. Puds wise they were very large. Sticky toffee pub totally recommended. Service and atmosphere excellent. Would definitely be going back

Lovely meal and atmosphere. Thanks for a lovely meal, I had the classic burger, step dad had the steak and ale pie and mum had the masala, the only thing she said was a little more sweetness in the masala, however apart from that everything else was delicious, the desserts where stunning, highly recommend the sticky toffee!! Pub atmosphere was great with other locals at the bar and staff very pleasant and helpful.
